Messaging at Meta.
As a staff engineer at Meta, I was a technical lead in the Message History space across Messenger, Facebook and Instagram. In particular, I was called in to help the Facebook team deliver their E2EE onboarding flow as part of global rollout.

A closer look.
Global user onboarding. I led the cross-functional delivery of the canonical new user flow across iOS and Android as part of Facebook's global end-to-end encryption rollout.
I aligned engineering, product and design on a consistent onboarding experience; I resourced a team and coordinated the work needed to launch on schedule, including helping out with implementing requirements.
Audits and roadmap. I led multiple iOS and Android code audits to identify delivery gaps across Messenger and Facebook, surface risk and turn the findings into prioritised engineering plans.
This helped the team derisk near-term deliverables while shaping the security and feature roadmaps that followed.
Shared security foundations. I developed composable foundation frameworks for securely managing user recovery codes across iCloud Keychain, iCloud Drive, iCloud Key-Value Storage and CloudKit, including technical and security reviews.
These frameworks were integrated across Messenger, Facebook and Instagram and established the standard for how third party storage integration with Apple is reviewed and audited.
